ALEX BAU (credo / clr / sino / dbh-music/ Dmom)
Getting spiced on the floor! Anybody out there not really being interested in? We don`t think so, in times of unified, exchangable music there are numerous people interested in getting something more than a "Klick" here and "Klack" there. And exactly for those of you, Alex` music is surely the right soundtrack being far away from music which sounds like it is produced by standard-software on a standard pattern, only for being more fashionable and mass-compatible. Alex Bau is the right guy, his music ranges is nothing less than high quality techno, additionally spiced with added drummings and sounds which are one more step on the way to make the mix unique and flowing. As soon as you read Alex` name on a record, cd or flyer, there is always techno inside. Maybe this appears a bit too "spicy" for the typical "minimaltechnovirgin", but the reduced tempo leaves it accessable for almost everybody being interested in high-quality electronic dancemusic. It`s always the same, no matter if minimal, harder, spacy or crazy, the right mixture is the key to a tasty menu, and how to heat up and cool down the dancefloor is something you don`t have to explain to mr. Bau. It`s served!
MISS DJAX(Djax Records):
Miss Djax is the alias of Saskia Slegers. Not only an excellent deejay, but also the founder of Djax Records in 1989.
Djax (and its variety of sub-labels) must undoubtedly be considered as one of the most important dance labels in the world. At the back of the book '1989 - 1999 Djax Records The Power of the Underground' James Hymann, (MTV Europe) calls it 'one of the decade's crucial labels' and further 'one of the world's most talked about labels'. No surprise then, Djax received many awards being best record label. The first signing of Djax Records was the hardcore rap act 24K (No Enemies 1990). A couple of months later the first techno release (Terrace - 916 Buena Avenue) followed on the famous Djax-Up-Beats label. The year 1991 can be looked at as the starting point of the Djax succes story: Saskia visited Chicago and Detroit where she met many talented techno producers. With Djax-Up-Beats she created an European outlet for producers like DJ Rush, Mike Dearborn, Claude Young and Paul Johnson by releasing their tracks on this imprint. Music was not the only thing Saskia picked up in Detroit; draftsman Alan Oldham is responsible for Djax’s unique character with his very special drawing skills. The year 1991 had more surprises, as Saskia signed the Dutch hardcore hiphop act Osdorp Posse and with this signing she launched a complete new movement: Nederhop.
Miss Djax had her international breakthrough when she played at the notorious Mayday rave in Berlin in 1992. With her hard and uncompromising techno set she made great impression on the many promoters present and she played the mainstage at all big international parties from that day on.
In 1993 Miss Djax was declared ‘DJ of the Year’ by Frontline (nowadays Raveline) Magazine. In the years that followed her name was always in the international top 10.

LUCY BIO(Clr-Stroboscopic Artefacts-Prologue -Perc trax)
Lucy: producer, DJ, founder of Stroboscopic Artefacts. That’s probably how you know him. But there’s also Luca Mortellaro, a published author, experimental sound designer, and the man behind the Lucy moniker. There’s no doubt that the two are linked, but it’s certainly the hidden facets of Luca Mortellaro that are responsible for the dynamic output of Lucy.
In 2005 Lucy left his native Italy for Paris. In search of romance? Perhaps. The fact that the very first demo he ever sent was noticed by James Holden and that he’s now releasing on Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver, makes Lucy’s story more than romantic, it’s fit for the silver screen. As he delved deeper into electronic music Lucy made the essential move from Paris to Berlin. It was here he launched record label Stroboscopic Artefacts a platform that illuminates pioneering electronic music. Under Lucy’s careful curation Stroboscopic Artefacts has garnered international attention and emerged as one of the most exciting labels in the scene.
Lucy’s DJ sets are techno layered with deep dub and textured with lucid IDM. Never one to shy away from ripping into the peak time and equally in his element playing the ecstatic afterhours, elegance is the foundation of his approach. He manages to refuse the obvious and yet satisfies dancefloors’ appetites for the unexpected. A quick listen to his CLR podcast, Resident Advisor mix or the Modyfier process will attest to one thing: his elusive approach is too angular for genres and pigeon holes. It’s this quality that’s seen him grace the decks at Berghain, Fabric, New York’s Oktave party and Mexico’s Bar America.
With a host of EPs and remixes released and forthcoming on the most influential labels such as Prologue, Mote Evolver and CLR, looking towards the future is exciting. Particularly for Stroboscopic Artefacts, whose first full length release is Lucy’s debut album: \”Wordplay For Working Bees\”.
GARY BECK BIO( Perc Trax - Saved - Clr - Nachtstrom Schallplatten- Electric Deluxe)
Gary Beck is regarded as one of the most prolific and inventive producers in the current electronic music scene. Renowned for his own unique sound, Gary is currently in high demand all over the world playing at some of the most respected clubs. He can count on support from many of the biggest names in techno, including Pete Tong, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Len Faki, Nic Fanciulli and Richie Hawtin.
His style can be heard on labels such as Saved, Soma, Electric Deluxe, Drumcode and his own imprint Bek Audio.
Gary’s career was given an early boost when Richie Hawtin signed his track \”Consumed\” to the Minus label. From that point on, interest began to grow around this talented artist. Before long he was playing to crowds around Europe, South America and Asia. More recently his unique style has been appreciated in New York and further tours of America are in the pipeline.
Production wise, Gary has been enjoying success with Nic Fanciulli’s Saved label. Hits such as \”Say What\” have been setting dancefloors alight around the world, however he also enjoys returning to his techno roots on labels such as Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe and Len Faki’s Figure.
Refusing to be caught up in the new wave of sync technology Gary prefers to work with turntables along with Traktor and controllers keeping the old and new school vibe alive.
Already booked for most of 2011 Gary looks to maintain the same level of consistency which has seen him gain many admirers around the world.
JOEY BELTRAM BIO(Harthouse - Drumcode - MB Electroniks - R S)
Joey Beltram is a techno pioneer, heralded as one of the scene's biggest stars.
In 2009 alone Beltram had a Beatport top 10 with his remix of Oliver Huntemann's Shanghai Spinner. Then there was his huge vinyl releases like the Scorpion on Drumcode, Shaking Trees on Harthouse (a Raveline track of the month), and a killer remix of Abe Duque's Let's Take It Back that had rave reactions across the board including MANDY, Dave Clarke and Hell. There was also his run of headline slots at festivals, which in 08/09 has included Coachella, both of Italy's Play the Music Festivals, BLOC in the UK, Hungary's Bonusz, Awakenings, Planetlove Ireland and Rockit Open Air in the Netherlands, plus club gigs from Berghain to the 10,000 capacity Fabrik in Madrid to Fabric UK's sister club matter, Ministry of Sound and numerous appearances in Germany, the US, Spain, Holland, Canada, Malta and more. Check out the videos of huge festival crowds on YouTube.
What’s his secret? Continued experimentation and an unparalleled run of influential tracks. Beltram grew up in Queens, one of the toughest boroughs of New York - the equal to Detroit for rough times but very different in its musical roots. At 12 years old Beltram was DJing hip hop and electro, playing roller rinks and block parties to buy records, studio gear and decks. He released his first tracks before age 18 on New York labels Nu Groove and Easy Street, and by 20 he caught the ear of Belgium's now pivotal R S label with his track Let It Ride.
R S invited Beltram to Europe and techno history was made.
DJ EMERSON(Sleaze - Smallroom - Kiddaz.Fm )
As a now respected veteran of Germany’s techno scene, Emerson struck a chord with multilayered techno; enriched in quality and indicative of his synthetic electronic style. Founder of the esteemed Micro.fon imprint, he has opened the door and brought driving techno from its barren lands to a new territory built upon groove and bounce.
With releases on Sub Static and freakWaves Emerson has moved through the last decade unearthing a fledging reputation as a turn-to producer for those who love a gutful of groove despite how driving and hard-faced the music may be. As a youthful Dj and producer Emerson started out in South Germany, tinkering down a breakbeat avenue working through various clubs before getting a break at Munich’s Utraschall, that led to a nationwide tour with the respected Timing label. Subsequently, opportunities arose with several major clubs in Germany, before Emerson decided to take his sound abroad to Ibiza, Tokyo, Miami and Eastern Europe amongst others.
DJ Emerson is also an extremely prolific producer and much-loved DJ both in his native Germany and across the globe. The positive response to his work inspired Emerson to start Kiddaz.FM in 2001, a label which has clocked up over 50 releases, selling more than 100,000 units in the process, and counts the likes of Adam Beyer, Shinedoe and Chris Liebing among its regular supporters, the latter with whom he released many records on CLR’s sublabel Spinclub Records including its inaugural 12\”
\”Mr Nice / Cut The Crap\”.

DUSTIN ZAHN(Clr - ReKids- SCI+TEC - Harthouse -Dmom -Saved)
A bad ass behind the decks, and in the studio since 1998...his productions ended up on some bigger techno labels as well as more obscure imprints. Along with Ian Lehman, he forged the well-received “Attack People” live performance…bringing his show across the US, to South America, and Europe as well. When he’s not on tour with his DJ sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of Minneapolis’s biggest techno parties. GAYLE SAN(Dark net - Naked lunch - Sick Weird Rough)
Gayle Sans career already began in the late 80s in her hometown Singapore. She started as a warmup DJ for Bands such as
Kool and the Gang Earth Wind and Fire and the Commodores,in the Top ten club which was the club of that moment on that
island. Leaving her native Singapore in 1988,to pursue her dj career in the UK, nobody expected such a massive success
for Gayle in the music business. Gayle's first steps into the London clubs were via DJing at record company parties,
various one-off guest spots and fashion shows. These slots soon led to Gayle being made resident at 'Reach for the Sky'
at London's Limelight club, where she played alongside global DJs which Gayle describes as \”the steepest learning curve
possible\”. Having honed her DJing skills and broadened her understanding of music, Gayle began to experiment with the
harder side of dance music, particularly the lesser known techno sounds coming into Britain from Europe and the US of
that time. Her chance to pioneer this music in England came when Gayle became resident at Universe's legendary Final
Frontier club, at Club U.K. in south London, which then moved on to become Universe Voyager at their new club, the
Complex in north London, and she was also resident at all the Tribal Gatherings Festivlas. Final frontier was widely
regarded as one of the best club nights in the world, it was not long before Gayle had amassed a following of techno
pilgrims who would make journeys from as far as Edinburgh to hear her play.

JONAS KOPP
Jonas Kopp was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1981. His career as a producer was launched when he was 19 years old. After seven years of hard work we find one of the most representative argentine talents for the House and techno global scene. Jonas is very well depicted by the constant hypnotic flavour in his tracks, the techno arrangements, deep basslines that really fill the surrounding space, the use of effects like reverb and LFO's
and his faithful attachment to his Detroit and Chicago roots as creative influences
MIRO PAJIC( Droid - Lazerslut - Kiddaz.Fm)
After many productive and successful years with Planet Core Production (PCP) in his hometown Frankfurt, Miro has lost interest for electronic music based on essential relentlessness. This was around millennium. He still does make and occasional appearance on Things To Come Records (a label operated by his old friend Oliver Chesler / The Horrorist) in disguise of \”Hypnotizer\” (Miro's doom-goth-electro-techno-clash side project) he does make an exception.
For a few years he emigrated to saturn with the purpose of meditating and deploying the infinite laws of the universe. A mission to true self-discovery and development. He was ready for his new era, which has been exposed since the mid 2000's.
Miro's creative sound architecture shines in a variety of interpretations, living between romantic gloom, absurd musicality and rhythm mathematics that could be a Stanley Kubrick version of modern dance music whilst retaining functionality. His mostly dense assemblies enrapture the fantasy hungry listener, who can expect episodic surreal surprises. His deepest passion for detail and visionary audio adventures can be heard regularly on his label \”Lazerslut\” and has been unveiled on labels such as Klickhaus, Harthouse, Tic Tac Toe Records and many others.
Confident about what he's doing in todays flooded world of electronic music, Miro constantly communicates through his non-stereotype productions that have been supported and played by artists like: Troy Pierce, Adam Beyer, Magda, Richie Hawtin, Alexi Delano, John Selway, Camea, Bloody Mary, Tim Xavier, Tony Rohr and many others.
NICO LAHS(Ovum - 8bit - Resopall Schallware - Noir)
A mind focused in the future in every sense, characterized by a high sense of professionally.
These are maybe the best words to describe Nico Lahs, young musician of worldwide's underground music scene.
It's the tale of a child full of dreams, a tale about his love for drums grew up til today, becoming a true complete symbiosis with music at 360°.
Nico's figure is complex like a puzzle, the result of a youth written by experiences and extremes hardly recognizable in common places.
Behind his deep expression he hides at one side the charm of a party animal and on the other side the perfect accuracy of the pure musician;
all features that leave, in a way or another, an unforgettable sign in every person who gets in contact with him.
With a so particular personality and a always strong desire of freshness Nico is able to transform every performance, every set in every contest, unique in its own way.
Today his music is appreciated and supported by the biggest professionists and lovers of the international underground scene:
a clear sign that the role of this musician in the future's global panorama will be as an absolute protagonist.

The duo showed, in all their career, different interests about electronic music infact they are subjected to numerous influences which contributed to the exclusivity of their music. The project was born only as Dj but in 2009 they find an interest also in music production. Also if they are very young they showed their predisposition for this activity with flowing mixes and great productions also if they are still unreleased. The predominant sound in their djset is techno dark but they have no difficulties in experimenting new sonorities. They often perform a set with 4 Turntables and 2 mixers showing also their incredible harmony. They cooperated with different neapolitan organizations (such as Minimalismi,HardFactory, Decompressed) playing in popular clubs as El Divino, L'Arenile, Velvet. They are waiting for a good chance to add their name in the european electronic music scene.
